Hearing loss

Hearing can be lost quickly or slowly at any age for any reason. According to the World Health Organisation, more than 700 million people are estimated to have disabling hearing loss by 2050. A survey was being conducted from the progressive hearing loss individuals, and it is found out that the majority of them seems to agree that their negative emotions increase along with their hearing loss. Being afflicted with progressive hearing loss is a terrifying experience but none of the Deaf organisations in Malaysia offer programs for people who undergo the transition to deaf especially from the mental aspect.

Thus, the design of this deaf rehabilitation centre is to provide information and guidance for people who are experiencing progressive hearing loss. There are 5 stages of of hearing loss, these are the most well known theory of grief. The programs in the space will be design according to the stages of hearing loss such as denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

Below is the customer journey map that I created for the overall activities inside the space. The procedure is from consideration up until advocacy, for the suitable target market.
